AETHER
Bezel Crown Lug Dial
Manufacture Genève, since 1962

A watch is the one machine still worth winding by hand.

Everything on the dial earns its place. If it doesn't help you read the time, it isn't there.

217

components in the AETHER Calibre A1, assembled and regulated by a single watchmaker.

Every movement is built in-house by fourteen watchmakers who each finish one piece from raw plate to sealed case — roughly ninety watches a year, and a set of initials inside the caseback that mean something.

Three collections, one philosophy.

Each line takes a different material approach to the same idea.

The first thirty enquiries this season are offered priority fitting at the atelier — no discount, simply first access.

I Meridian Brushed steel, 38mm — the everyday reference, restrained enough to disappear under a cuff. from CHF 6,400

Four moments that shaped the workshop.

1962

Founded by Elias Voss above a Geneva bank, with three watchmakers and one lathe.

1978

The Calibre A1 completed after six years — still the basis of every AETHER today.

2004

One of the last twelve manufactures to hand-finish every movement in-house.

2023

The current workshop opens on the original street, around the original lathe.

"We don't make watches to tell the time. Phones do that better. We make them to be held onto."
— Elena Voss, Head Watchmaker
